PLEASE HELP The bar where you type in websites is gone

I have log off and type it in from yahoo. How do I get this bar back.

Go up to top of browser and VIEW>TOOLBARS>

Place a checkmark in front of ADDRESS BAR and LOCK THE TOOLBARS

It still doesn't work. I have no idea what happened I logged on today and it was gone. I've tried about fifty other things and that didn't work either.

Are you using IE6, IE7, Firefox? What?

Did you try a simple reboot?.....Totally logoff, shut down and restart...

Right click any blank area on the gray bar that has you back button and search button on it. When the box opens make sure address bar has a check next to it.

I downloaded a new one from google. The other one I eventually found on the bottom of the screen but couldn't get it to the top. So I hid that one.
